![]() ![]() ![]() The main villain is Amonbofis, the queen’s architect, who envies Numerobis. And, unlike the first movie, here Asterix, Obelix, Panoramix, Numerobis and Idefix are facing all sorts of enemies. The effects are better, I have to say that. That means that it’s funnier than the first one, with more French humour, more hilarious remarks and some parody. I mean, it tries a diferrent approach, Mission Cleopatra is more like the cartoon series. The movie has some stupid moments and doesn’t have the serious tone that the first part had.īut one the other hand, that’s a good thing. Caesar was a mighty emperor, but here he is a prick. Remember the melancholic and wise Panoramix? Well, now he’s constantly smiling like a junkie, with nothing too intelligent to say. ![]() Asterix and Obelix are still played by Depardeu and Clavier, but Panoramix and Caesar are played by diferrent actors.
